About Overseer Jakeem Bowman

Overseer Jakeem Bowman, the psalmist, the preacher, and the public speaker, was reared in the small town of Cheraw, South Carolina. Though only 34 years old, this anointed and appointed preacher has become a nationally sought-after voice in conventions, conferences, and convocations. Known for his old-fashioned style of preaching and heartfelt singing, Overseer Bowman brings both power and authenticity to every assignment.

He began his preaching ministry at the tender age of ten at his home church, Smithville AME Zion Church. Since preaching his initial sermon, he has faithfully served in various ministerial roles, including Youth Minister, Associate Minister, Youth Pastor, and ultimately Senior Pastor of both Davidson Grove M.B.C. and Reedy Branch M.B.C.

In April 2020, amid the challenges of a global pandemic, God gave Overseer Bowman a vision to birth a new ministry. On the first Sunday in May 2020, New Life Fellowship Church held its inaugural service. Since that time, the hand of the Lord has continually rested upon this ministry. Embracing the motto, “A Perfect Place for Imperfect People,” New Life has reached multigenerational audiences from across the country.

Under his visionary leadership, the church has experienced remarkable growth and impact. Overseer Bowman has overseen major renovations, birthed the New Life Sanctuary Choir, appointed directors, established ministry auxiliaries, and launched the popular Tuesday Night Tune-Up just to name a few.

In June 2023, Overseer Bowman was officially appointed to the sacred office of Overseer under the leadership of His Grace, Bishop Freddie B. Marshall, and the Greater Church of Deliverance, where he serves in the House of Bishops. In addition, he leads as the General Overseer of the Triumph Interdenominational Network, a dynamic collaboration of ministry and marketplace leaders dedicated to advancing the Kingdom through innovation and unity. In June of 2025, Overseer Bowman was officially appointed to the sacred office of Bishop under the leadership of His Grace, Bishop Freddie B. Marshall, and the Greater Church of Deliverance.
